The NPD numbers for the month of March are in, and they come bearing predictability. Sony’s big exclusive for the month, God of War III , climbed its way to the top of Mount Olympus the software chart while the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of Final Fantasy XIII and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 pulled a bit of a switcheroo; the Square Enix RPG on the PS3 outsold its 360 counterpart by roughly 2-to-1, while EA’s Modern Warfare challenger went and managed the opposite. As for the hardware figures, they present a fairly familiar image.
