Day one purchasers of Modern Warfare 2 ’s Stimulus Package downloadable content are getting a little unexpected bonus from Microsoft: 7 days of free Xbox Live Gold membership. The gift is not to compensate for the launch day connectivity issues that the downloadable content caused, Xbox Live’s director of programming Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb tells IGN , but instead a way to thank customers for their loyalty to the Xbox 360’s online platform
