Modern Warfare 2 may have offered quite the buggy online experience in the months following its launch but, according to Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling, only a fraction of players were ever affected. Talking specifically about the care package glitch that allowed players to call in and abuse Harriers, AC-130s, Predator Missiles etc, the community man said , “No, there was no drop [in players]. Since people take this game very seriously and they play so hardcore – we do as well – you know that stuff gets a lot of attention.” Out of their 25 million players , Bowling continued, “the people who experienced those types of things and even participate in those types of things are very very small – like one per cent of our user base.” “So in the grand scheme of things it doesn’t really impact the overall experience of the majority of players.”
