Since its announcement at E3, I’ve been waiting for this Goldeneye 007 remake with guarded interest. Back in the late ‘90s I probably put 200 hours into the multiplayer for the N64 original, and this game looks better every time I see it, but the disappointment over the last remake, subtitled Rogue Agent, still stings. But this most recent trailer, a look at how the developers have been working on updating it, makes me a little more positive about this game’s right to exist…

Leave it to the point-and-click wunderkinds at Telltale Games to throw an all-star party like this. As gleamed by today’s not-so-cryptic trailer on GameTrailers, Telltale Games has announced plans to unite the likes of Sam & Max, Strong Bad, Penny Arcade’s Tycho and Team Fortress’ ‘Heavy’ for one upcoming unnamed title. The trailer features silhouettes of the cult-gaming icons in question prefaced by the words: “Bet you never thought these guys would get together.” Truthfully?

Today’s vids, part of Valve’s week of Portal 2 reveals , show off two new game mechanics, the Propulsion and Repulsion Gels. Apparently intended by Aperture Science to be used as weight loss aids, the two “largely non-toxic liquid forms of fiberglass insulation” were pulled from the shelves after testing revealed that people need to digest food before expelling it, and that trying to bounce food out of a dieter’s stomach is impractical. The writers at Valve really deserve a video game Pulitzer, an award I just made up,

After Gabe Newell’s shocking E3 announcement that Portal 2 will be showing up on PS3 in addition to 360, PC and Mac, it was official, Portal 2 is going to be huge. To celebrate the impending hugeness, Valve is releasing new Portal 2 videos everyday this week, which so far includes an introduction to one of the game’s sidekicks, a personality core named Wheatley, and introductory videos for some new Aperture Science gizmos…

Another teaser for Crytek’s upcoming alien-blaster Crysis 2 has appeared, and it doesn’t really reveal much other than the game will feature something called ‘The Pinger’, which is basically a big-ass robot which resembles the gecko from Metal Gear Solid 4 . Despair not, however, as GTTV has got some gameplay footage over at their site as well, and it looks pretty damn good. Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli informs that the Pinger is in fact one of the game’s bosses that we’ll be shooting in the face at some point.
