Infinity Ward says Wii cannot deliver equal experiences

Everyone’s favorite numbered community manager, Robert ‘fourzerotwo’ Bowling , sat down with Develop and let it spill that Infinity Ward is not developing for the Wii due to the system’s limitations. The Modern Warfare 2 developer is looking to deliver cinematic experiences that are “equal across all platforms,” and the Nintendo console just is not up to the challenge. “If we felt like we could deliver the cinematic experience we were going for on other platforms, then we would gladly move to that platform,” said Bowling.

Wii 2 information possibly leaked, Blu-ray and 1080p support to be included?

Rumors of the next Wii or an enhanced Wii have been swirling pretty much since the launch of the system in 2006, but actual information on the inevitable successor has been nonexistent. That might’ve changed today, as a  French website claims that a unnamed Nintendo of France marketing employee has given them the scoop on Wii 2.

Price cut, new model put the PS3 on top

September’s US sales numbers released by NPD confirm what everyone, including Microsoft , expected; The price cut and the introduction of the new slimmer model paired with some solid advertising were enough for the PS3 to catapult itself to the top spot in the most systems sold charts while even beating expectations by 15%. Well, that’s almost correct — if you’re not just counting home consoles then the DS still beat it by ~32,000 units, but when it comes to home systems then the PS3 was indeed the biggest seller of the month.

School rewards students with gaming

This might be showing my age a bit but I remember, when I was in junior high school, things were drastically different than today. The monitors in the computer lab were that sickly monochrome green, the floppy disks I borrowed from my friends were actually floppy, and the snickers would resound throughout the halls if someone had ever said they wanted to go to the ‘Wii room.’ My, how times have changed. Students at Hook Junior High in Victorville, California are being rewarded for demonstrating positive behavior with trips to the aforementioned ‘Wii room.’ Administrators are using the program an effort to boost attitudes and encourage student success
